How Hosting Works
Our scheme provides accommodation by matching survivors of modern slavery with volunteer host households. This is an independent, voluntary, adult to adult living arrangement facilitated by Hope at Home. Every host has been assessed, trained and undertaken a DBS check.
We support the hosts to provide a safe and secure home and give an opportunity to begin to rebuild their lives.
Hosts offer a private bedroom and shared use of their home. Hosts are not able to provide any professional services to their guests.
We are able to provide accommodation to those who have no recourse to public funds and therefore are at risk of being destitute.
*Please note, we are not an emergency accommodation service and aim to reply to referrals within 72 hours of receipt.
Please read our Guidance for Referrals information before filling in our Make a Referral Form.
Guest Wellbeing Support Package
At Hope at Home, we always want to prioritise the wellbeing and independence of our guests. That’s why we’ve created a Wellbeing Package based on guest feedback. This provides emotional, physical and financial support options to eligible guests. Please chat to our hosting team to learn more about our Wellbeing Package during a placement.
