Today, Hope at Home stands alongside a coalition of leading anti-slavery and human rights organisations calling on the Home Secretary to protect, not weaken, the rights of survivors of modern slavery. Read about the immigration announcement and its impact on survivors here.
Together with partners including After Exploitation, Anti-Slavery International, Medaille Trust, ATLEU and many others, we have signed an open letter expressing our serious concern about the impact that recent immigration proposals announced by the government could have on survivors’ safety, recovery and access to justice.
Every survivor deserves safety, stability and the chance to rebuild their life free from fear. Policies that risk pushing people into street homelessness, destitution or re-exploitation only deepen harm and make recovery much harder.
At Hope at Home, we see every day how a safe home transforms and shapes lives. We urge the Government to strengthen support for survivors, not dismantle it.
